Planning With Your Whole Self In Your Art Practice” With John Vo
Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM (IN PERSON)
Wednesday, June 26, 2024 | 6:00 - 8:00 PM (on Zoom)
The Ignition Space, 44 Troy St Unit#2, Fall River, MA

This is 2-part series (4 hours in person + 2 hours online). Artists are asked to attend both sessions.

This workshop will tackle the following topics: MISSION invites artists to consider the central reasons why they make art, what drives them, and what values they wish to center in their practice and their lives. MONEY begins to tease apart the sticky questions of how to make one’s practice sustainable and how different forms of income can support one’s broader work. TIME interweaves all of these and considers strategies for structuring one’s life to make space for creating in harmony with all the roles in one’s life.

Beyond Arts Grants: Creative Solutions for Project Support with Yara Liceaga-Rojas

Tuesdays, August 20, 27 and September 3, 2024 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM (on Zoom)

This is a 3-part, introductory-level series. Participants are asked to attend all sessions.

How can an artist secure resources, organizational partners, and the funding they need to succeed when there are so few listed arts grants? After this introductory-level workshop, participants will better understand how they can define the work they are already doing as a fundable project, how to talk about that work with stakeholders, how to integrate care practices when developing a project, and tips for securing the necessary funding.
